CArray

CArray[name,args]

is a symbolic representation of an array.

Details and Options

SymbolicC expressions are inert; they evaluate to themselves, staying in an unevaluated form.
SymbolicC expressions can be converted into a C string with ToCCodeString.

To use SymbolicC you first need to load the package:

Wolfram Language code: Needs["SymbolicC`"]

This accesses the elements of an array:

Wolfram Language code: CArray[id, {"x"}]//ToCCodeString

This is a two-dimensional array access:

Wolfram Language code: CArray[id, {"x", "y"}]//ToCCodeString

This accesses an array of arrays:

Wolfram Language code: CArray[CArray[id, {"x"}], {6}]//ToCCodeString

This assigns an element of an array:

Wolfram Language code: CAssign[CArray[a, 3], 5]//ToCCodeString
