represents the end of a string for purposes of matching in StringExpression.

Basic Examples  (1)

Test whether a string ends with a "t":

Wolfram Language code: StringMatchQ["abaababbat", ___ ~~ "t" ~~ EndOfString]

Scope  (1)

Replace the last letter in a string:

Wolfram Language code: StringReplace["ababbabbaaaCb", LetterCharacter ~~ EndOfString -> "t"]

Applications  (1)

Remove the trailing spaces:

Wolfram Language code: StringReplace[" Have a nice day. ", (Whitespace ~~ EndOfString) -> ""]//FullForm
